March 23, 2026 marked an exciting start to three days of equine nutrition research and collaboration.
The inaugural Global Equine Health and Nutrition Association Meeting opened with a morning session featuring an overview of the current state of equine nutrition research worldwide. Presenters identified leading contributors in the field and their primary areas of focus, while highlighting some of the most significant recent discoveries and advances.
The afternoon session began with Dr. Joe Pagan and Dr. Laurie Lawrence exploring the contributions, influence, and legacy of Dr. Harold “Skip” Hintz, followed by Dr. Joe Pagan and Dr. David van Doorn discussing GEHNA’s key objectives and mission.
